This operation was performed under spinal analgesia. A metal canula was passed via the urthera to wash the bladder. During the passage of the canula no force was used nor difficulty experienced, but the normal saline used for washing the bladder did not flow through the canula easily and did not escape through the suprapubic self retaining cathetef*.
